Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Today is a day set aside to remember all that this great man did for America. We had a short day of school so we could watch a couple videos about Martin Luther King Jr. then we had a chance to write our own I have a dream speech. Megan did really well and once I explained it more to Cody's level, he did well too. Below are their speeches...

I have a dream that one day this nation will believe in Jesus Christ

I have a dream that one day we will all be raised to love the Lord.

I have a dream that one day all boys and girls will be thankful for what we have

I have a dream that everybody will give and not want.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that we all will love and not steal

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day we will not worship different gods.

This is my hope and faith. With this faith we will be able to love the Lord our God

in all different ways.

This will be the day when we all get along.

This is my hope and faith. With this faith we will be able to be safe.

Megan's blew me away, I was so proud of her dreams! Cody did his best and did come up with some great ideas as well. Anyway, enjoy your day off if you don't have to work but take time to remember the man who helped make America better!
